This view of wooden house in Skjaermveien Barnehage, Trondheim is a social hotspot, designed by Norwegian architecture firm Oslo-based Haugen / Zohar Arkitekter. Designed for the collection, storytelling and laughter at a chimney fire, this fire house was inspired by a traditional mud Norway grass and old log building. The compact 5.2 by 4.5 meters of home design has 80 layers of loosely stacked blocks pine – a configuration that allows ventilation of the space. The cone of wood walls up to form the chimney. Inside, the main feature of this house is the fireplace chimney, and the only outside opening of the fireplace is the entrance, with double sliding door curve.
