Otio Residence: Displays its Functional Home Design
Otio residence was built up for a catholic priest. At first glance, the stone wall and saddleback looking simple and graceful, but a walk around the property reveals an atrium shaped out of the stone wall and leading to the interior design through a glassed wall. Here, integral furniture, alongside Verner Panton chairs and an Eames Lounge Chair rest on stone bases and contrast with the white walls. With a budget of 150,000 Euro, Sebastian Nagy Architects built the home design in DraĹžovce, Nitra, Slovakia as a residence 1,400 square feet. The entrance is guarded by a cross just above the entrance, while the inside permits a clear aspect of the nearby Roman Catholic church of Francis Xavier. Adapted to suit a modern lifestyle and made in the parish garden, the Otio Residence displays its functional design in a successful effort of getting a connection between the past and the present.
